Prepping for Evac (Articles)

Its every anime fanatics dream, indeed, the dream of more than the occasional gamer too, many of whom are, coincidentally, into anime it would seem. That is, living in Japan.

Okay, so I'm not really living there, I'm staying for three months and studying design while I'm at it, but I am going, its been a life long dream, all 19 years of it, well, maybe not, I probably didn't know it existed until I was substantially older than five...

But anyway!

Between the 5th of January 2006 and the 1st of April 2006, I will be living in the city of Sapporo in Hokkaido, Japan. Will I come back speaking fluent Japanese and eating Sushi? Well, probably not, I'm terrible at languages and a vegetarian, but I will be bringing plenty of filthy filthy Hentai at the request of the odd friend. Odd in the literal sense.

But why do you care?

Because while I am living in Japan, I will be doing my very best to bring you a weekly column detailing the state of gaming in Japan, what our counter parts in the far east think of the future of gaming, what they're playing, what's hot and what's not, as well as opinions on the Xbox 360.

To prove my dedication, if I have to run around shouting "konichiwa!" and "sumimasen!" (excuse me), I will, well, to be honest, I'm probably going to have to do that anyway, I was never any good at Spanish so god only knows how I'm going to manage Japanese...

So bid me good luck and hopefully I'll be providing you with an interesting column every week from the beginning of 2006 onwards!
