EGN Gets Games Press//General News

The European Games Network has done a deal with industry specialists (and all round nice guys) Games Press. Both EGN and the associated consumer show Game Stars Live will work exclusively with Games Press, with branded areas on the Games Press website being the official press office for the two shows.

"EGN and Game Stars Live boast exhibitor lists that reflect the size and stature of the games industry," says Steve Owen, Technical Director, Games Press, "so we're expecting a wealth of news and announcements from ExCeL. We're looking forward to helping to raise the profile of these new trade and consumer events by giving journalists the information and assets they need to provide the best possible coverage of both shows."

"Games Press is the main online destination for computer and video game journalists, so it makes perfect sense for it to work with the main exhibition destination," says Kirsty Adams, event director, Game Stars Live. "This agreement between the shows and Games Press is brilliant news for everyone. Journalists can be sure of a first-class online service, enabling them to file copy earlier – and our exhibitors can be confident that their news will exclusively promoted through the best online press service there is."
Games Press is a trade-only registration website that hosts games industry press releases and other media assets for use by games journalists world wide. Games Press also hosts the press websites for a number of games publishers and PR agencies.

Knight Rider 2//General News

Davilex has announced they are currently developing a sequel to their recent Knight Rider game, itself based on the classic 80's television show.

Turbo boosted with more special effects, dialogue, in-game animations and chest hunkin' action, players must use all the thrilling features associated with the original K.I.T.T. to successfully complete missions. Drive in ski-mode down narrow alleys, utilize night vision to see where others can't, scan buildings to assess situations and chase the bad guys with incredible speed. Equipped with a range of car-based weapons, use K.I.T.T. and all his skills to fight off robots, armoured vehicles and of course Garth, Michael's evil twin-brother and arch enemy.
The new game will feature new tracks, new environments and a multiplayer mode. The game will be available on PC and PS2, although no release date has been set.
