new RID single! The Sex Has Made me Stupid

The Robots will be launching their new album with a couple of in-store apearances next week - London on the 18th and manchester on the 19th. Here’s the press release!

ROBOTS IN DISGUISE TO LAUNCH NEW ALBUM ‘WE’RE IN THE MUSIC BIZ’ WITH LIVE PERFORMANCES AND SIGNINGS AT ZAVVI OXFORD STREET, LONDON AND ZAVVI MANCHESTER ARNDALE CENTRE

Electro-punks Robots in Disguise will be launching their much anticipated new album ‘We’re In The Music Biz‘ with a live performance and signing on Monday 18 February at 6:00pm at the Oxford Street zavvi and on Tuesday 19 February at 5:30pm at the Manchester Arndale zavvi.

Robots In Disguise are fronted by Dee Plume (guitar and vocals) and Sue Denim (bass and vocals) who are part riot girl princesses and part monsters of DIY musical mayhem. They’ve graced the pages of numerous fashion magazines donning their discopunk mod look, have acted in BBC2’s The Mighty Boosh and had their music appear on US hit show ‘Ugly Betty’.

‘We’re In The Music Biz’ is a sharp, dancey, tongue-in-cheek and impossibly catchy record produced by Chris Corner (Sneaker Pimps/I Am X). This maverick electro-indie-rock-dance duo has a reputation for fashion-forward style and ridiculously energetic shows where Dee’s guitar and Sue’s grooving bass lines dance over chunky electronic beats and tell-it-like-it-is lyrics.

Their last instore with us at the Oxford St zavvi was a riot, so expect more of the same!

** NB: The Manchester event is a wristband only event. Wristbands are available on a first come first served basis to personal callers only, from 9.00am Monday 18th February at the Manchester Arndale zavvi store. 2 wristbands per person.
