Gamer in Japan Article 5// article
Hmm, I'm afraid I literally have nothing games related to discuss this week! Gomen Nasai!

So, if you don't mind, I'll now go on about Perfect Dark Zero for a few hours!

Well, not really, but I'm sure it'll work its wicked way in somehow!

So, Xbox 360, most people should be past the stage of not being able to find one now & therefore, those who want one, should have gotten one where possible. As far as I've seen, the noise regarding faults has died down now, I myself suffered an Xbox failure just before Christmas, & you know what? The big M came through, I had my 360 back & working even smoother than the original before the week was out, allowing me to get right back to Perfect Dark Zero! Yay for Microsoft!

Obviously, being in Japan, I don't have access to my 360 (I am not spending money on a Japanese version & I didn't fancy shaking mine apart in a 747), so I don't get to enjoy Perfect Dark Zero, nor do I get to see the true value of the new updates & of course DOA 4.

As a previous owner of DOA 3, I am slightly interested in DOA 4, but like a few of my gaming brethren, I have what I like to call "combo-dyslexia" by which I of course mean, "I can't play this game against anyone more challenging than a turtle, as all I can do is kick, punch & fall down". Will I give DOA 4 a look despite this? Most certainly! Will I proceed to be laughed off of even the "casual" gaming zone? Oh you best believe I will.

Speaking of Team Ninja games, how many of you ever played DOA X Beach Volleyball? I was coerced into its purchase by a friend I strongly suspect of being a lesbian. I feel it must be said, it was a great game, even if I failed miserably whilst my sexually vague lady friend seemed extremely able at wowing the overly chesty ladies of Zack's Island.

I'll finish this up now, if it actually gets published it'll be a miracle of poor editorial work!

To those of you who read through this, my apologies, I really could have just said "miss my Xbox 360, interested in DOA 4" & called it a day!

To those few of you who do actually read this, I'd like to give you the chance to get me doing some work!

Do you have a question about Japan/Japanese gaming? Anything I could maybe ask some Japanese people?

Well then, send it in, you can email me at mjhyne-at-gmail.com I'll do my best!

In the mean time, Mata ne!
